EMGS is the first regional energy management system certification in the world, for Southeast Asia. Since 2010, GreenTech Malaysia has assessed more than 160 sites, and up to date reducing more than 90 GWh of electricity per year.

HAMMAD AINUDDIN

Supervisor, MGTC Analyst 

Hammad was trained by the former vice president of the United States, Al Gore, as a climate change communicator in Manila. Philippines (Climate Reality Leadership) prior to his employment at GreenTech Malaysia. He was also trained as an EE policymaker and adviser (Buildings, and Data & Statistics) under the International Energy Agency (IEA), as well as an energy manager (ASEAN Center for Energy). Graduated from the University of Melbourne with a BSc majoring in Chemical Systems with breadth in Environmental Studies (Science, Politics and Management), he studied under the hands of great environmental political scientists such as Prof. Robyn Eckersley and Dr. Jeremy Baskin. He is also a master's holder in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malaya. He is truly passionate about Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, and has helped to supervise more than 90 assessments all over Malaysia.
