2-Star: Required the organization to have established Energy Management System (EnMS) with proven savings of minimum 5% reduction compared to declared baseline.
3-Star: Required the organization to fully embedded the Energy Management System (EnMS) into the organizational cultured and integrated with other systems.

Same as other system, proper planning can lead to successful implementation. To ensure the recognition obtained, the Energy Manager Training Course (EMTC) and material handbook/guideline can be useful tool. Additionally, the organization must ensure that they have committed energy management team, committee, support from top management as well as energy manager to drive the implementation of the EnMS.

After the submission of Opportunities for Improvements (OFI) Closure documents within 90 days after final assessment date, the lead assessors will review the documents. If all the documents are deemed satisfactory, the organization will be recommended for certification at the Working Committee (WC) meeting that is held quarterly. After the WC recommendation, the result is to be endorsed in the Joint Project Committee (JPC) meeting and be reported to ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE).
As the process for the WC and JPC could take up to 2 months, the expected duration that the organization will receive the certificate after the closure approval is estimated 3-6 months.

AEMAS system offers a systematic and sustainable way for organization to enjoy impact of energy savings and cost reduction.
On top of that, it is recognized regionally (by ASEAN) and will received consultation by technical and management experts that were actively involved in the industry even before other EnMS exists.

It is necessary that the organization applying for EMGS Certification to have an appointed AEMAS-CEM, either internal or external to fulfill requirements under Aspect 2 – 2.1 (1) Energy Manager Appointment which will be obtained
by attending Energy Manger Training Course (EMTC).
